NoFollow

Das Attribut rel= beschreibt die Beziehung zum verlinkten Dokument, welches im href-Attribut festgelegt ist. Mit “Nofollow” wird erreicht, dass der Inhalt der verlinkten Seite vom Bot nicht in den Index aufgenommen werden soll. Einfacher gesagt: Der Link wird “entwertet”!


Das Search Engine Journal hat nun mit einigen Myhten und Halbwahrheiten rund um das Thema Nofollow aufgeräumt.

Ergebnis

  • Der Google Bot verfolgt Nofollow Links nicht
  • Yahoos Spider folgen Nofollow Links, werten diese aber nicht als Backlinks
  • Ask unterstützt das Nofollow Attribut nicht, wertet Links als positive Backlinks

Achten Sie also stets darauf, wie Ihre Domain verlinkt wird! Um eine Verlinkung zu überprüfen, rufen Sie einfach in Ihrem Browserfenster den Quelltext der Seite (unter Darstellungen in der Menüleiste) auf und suchen nach Ihrem Link!

Frank Helmschrott hatte sich bereits Anfang des Jahres mit dieser Thematik beschäftigt und in seinem kleinen Nofollow Report erstaunliches an’s Tageslicht gebracht!

Thomas hat mich in seinem Affiliate Marketing Blog auf eine interessante Toolbar Extension für den Firefox aufmerksam gemacht.

Mit Search Status kann man sich nicht nur den aktuellen Alexa Rank (Traffic Maßstab) und den Google Pagerank anzeigen lassen, es markiert auch mit der Funktion “Highlight Nofollow Links” automatisch alle Links einer Seite, die mit einem Nofollow-Attribut versehen sind.

Google weiß, was du letzten Sommer gesucht hast

Die “Google Web History” ermöglicht dem Suchenden seine eigene Datenspur zu verfolgen.


Dabei lässt sich der volle Text der besuchten Seiten betrachten und durchsuchen – einschließlich der Google-Suchanfragen, Webseiten, Bilder, Videos und Nachrichten. Außerdem lassen sich die Web-Aktivitäten bearbeiten und jederzeit Details der Web-Geschichte entfernen.

Aus SEO-Sicht durchaus bedenklich, denn – abhängig von der individuellen “Such-History” – wird die gleiche Suche, zwei unterschiedlichen Personen nicht mehr das gleiche Ergebnis liefern.

Google verspricht, die Datenspur nur zu indizieren, wenn man die Google Toolbar installiert hat und das Feature “PageRank” aktiviert ist:

Um die von Ihnen besuchten Webseiten in Ihre Web-Historie aufzunehmen, müssen Sie die Toolbar installieren. Akzeptieren Sie während der Installation das PageRank-Feature, das Informationen über die von Ihnen besuchten Seiten an Google schickt.

Um dieses Feature nutzen zu können, muss man sich zusätzlich mit einem Google Gmail-Account anmelden. Wer hier dauerhaft eingeloggt ist, sollte sich nicht wundern, wenn die häufig besuchten Webseiten künftig noch öfter unter den Suchergebnissen zu finden sind.

Schön, dass es dazu schon lange eine smarte Alternative gibt: Die Chronik in der Sidebar des eigenen Browsers!

Freie Schriften stehen bei Webdesignern & Co. hoch im Kurs. Deshalb – Liebhaber der Typografie – aufgepasst! Das Smashing Magazine stellt nun als “Quelle der Inspiration” ein frei verfügbares Fonts Cheat Sheet zum bestaunen bereit.

Dieses soll in Zukunft regelmäßig aktualisiert werden. Einen Blick in die Free Fonts Section sollte man auf jeden Fall riskieren, dort befindet sich eine wirklich tolle Auswahl an erstklassigen Fonts.
